Version 11.4.11

  • Fixed - Error #75 - "Path/File access error" at startup if IM/chat logging password protection was enabled and the current date's folder was missing.

Version 11.4.9

  • Fixed - WavMan installer now contains a VC runtime redistribution package to prevent REGSVR32 errors at the end of the installation and "File Not Found: dwshengine90.dll" errors.

  • Fixed - The ordering system would force AOL to logon which could cause lock ups.

Version 11.0.14 Beta

  • Fixed - Runtime Error #380 (Invalid Property Value).  This would occur when the Theme Aware feature was not reading the AOL theme properly.
  • Fixed - Runtime Error 91 (Object Variable Not Set) due to a flaw in the Enhanced IM Manager.  This error could occur at any given time without provocation.
  • Fixed - Small issues in the Theme Aware feature because of AOL changes in some of the themes.

  • Fixed - Buddy Icons are now visible in the Enhanced IM Manager.

  • New - Import/Export Wizard was brought back, with new modifications.
  • New - FancyWav/Hug Style Editor is now resizable.
  • Fixed - Richtext editor windows were not resizing properly for those users with enlarged window caption bars.
  • Fixed - Shareware trial timer was reset.  Some people were claiming they were not given a fair 30 day trial.  This is only being done once.
  • Fixed - Runtime error #35600 (Index Out of Bounds) when attempting to manually add or delete a room from the Public or Member lists.

  • Fixed - Font names were not being properly displayed in the Hug Style/FancyWav Editor when selected.
  • Fixed - The character font setting in the Quotes Editor was not retaining its setting.

  • Fixed - Jukebox - Changing a playlist from an empty playlist to a playlist that has sounds in it would cause the sounds not to show from the selected playlist.

Version 10.1.20 Beta

  • New Feature - WavMan Jukebox is now music aware.  It will download CD information from the Internet so CD names and tracks do not have to be manually entered.  We are using the FreeDB service, NOT the Gracenote (formerly CDDB) service.  Gracenote has too many restrictions for small Jukebox programs like this one.
     
  • New Feature - WavMan Jukebox CD player no longer relies on the Windows Media Player.  This should reduce the number of "Device in use" error messages that prevent this feature from working.
     
  • Modified - The WavMan Jukebox Volume Up and Down buttons have been replaced with a slider control.

  • New Feature - MP3 and MIDI files can now be played in IMs.
     
  • New Feature - WavProgress - Watch the length of your files play whether previewing them from the Wav List from a small bar that appears at the bottom of the Wav List, or from someone triggering a sound from the chat room.  A ToolTip above the WavProgress Bar will show who started the wav.
     
  • New Feature - The size of a selected file in the Wav List will now appear opposite the Wav Count label.
     
  • New Feature - Set the Text and Background colors of the Fade Scheme tag window on the Fade Control Panel.

Version 10.1.14 Beta

  • Fixed - The mail quoting, WavScan and the eWav features have all been rewriten to be much more stable than in previous releases.  This will stop a lot of the "freezing" problems when reading, writing and replying to E-Mail when WavMan is running.
     
  • New Feature - Auto Complete the "Notify AOL" feature of AOL 7.0.  This completes the tedious task of answering and completing all the windows when clicking the "Notify AOL" feature on the E-Mailbox window.
     
  • New Feature - "Fact of the Day" menu item has been added to the WavMan main menu to display the Fact of the Day on demand.
     
  • Fixed - Scanning hard drive for sounds feature would produce a "Drive Not Ready" error on some DVD drives under Windows XP when no disk was inserted in the drive.

  • Corrected - A Windows XP version of one of the Visual Basic runtimes files was being distributed, which would not play well with Windows 95/98.
  • Fixed - Windows XP bug - Settings for the IM Manager would not save if WavMan has been running for a long period of time.

  • Fixed - Creating a Wav Descriptions Category with a period in the title would cause a database "add table" error.

  • Fixed - The Chat Log Manager was logging lines of chat up to 5 or 6 extra times when the line of chat was faded text.  This may also be contributing to "freezes" reported with the chat rooms.

  • Fixed - Runtime #13 (Type Mismatch) when accessing the "Search Hard Drive for Sounds" feature.

  • Fixed - Runtime #5 (Invalid Procedure Call) when playing wavs in the chat room that were located on the root drive.

  • Added - Play MP3 and MID files via the chat rooms.  Note that other people will not hear your MID and MP3 files unless they also have the files on their hard drive and they are using WavMan 10.x with the WavDetect feature enabled.

  • Modified - The WavDetect feature was modified to disable the "Enable Chat Room Sounds" AOL Chat Preference so that WavDetect could properly hook the chat room without double sounds played or multiple sounds playing at once.

  • Fixed - "Stop Statement Encountered" error messages while in chat.

  • Fixed - Chat Log Manager "freezing" the computer.  This was due to log files over 500 KB in size taking too long to process.

  • Fixed - Duplicated chat lines or blocks of chat being logged repeatedly.

  • Fixed - Wavs still triggering by themselves after being played once in chat.

  • Fixed - Runtime #75 "Path/File access error" when opening the Chat/IM Log Manager if a log folder was empty.

  • Fixed - (AOL 6.0) IM Manager red/grey arrows not in sync with the IM window if the AOL IM Timestamp feature was active.

  • Fixed - (AOL 6.0) Current IM would lose focus in the typing area if another active IM had incoming text.

  • Fixed - (AOL 6.0) AutoAnswer feature was not functioning properly if the AOL IM Timestamp feature was active.

  • Fixed - (AOL 6.0) AIM Internet messages were not being automatically answered.

  • Fixed - (AOL 6.0) Room Busting into a public room would put you into an overflow room, and not the desired room if the room was full.

  • Fixed - Error 31005 in the "HandleChat" routine of the WM10SPY.OCX has been fixed.

  • Fixed - The WavMan Jukebox would produce a runtime error #5 (Invalid Procedure Call) if selecting a single file and clicking OK without actually selecting a file.

Version 10.0.10

  • MAJOR FIX - Since March of 2000, AOL has removed the ability to use faded or colored text in the chat room when using the {S wav trigger.  It was assumed that AOL would have to undo whatever "patch" they put on the chat rooms before we could uses colors or fades with wav text again.

    After 5 months of trying to find a way around AOL's block, one has been discovered!  :)

    WavMan 10.x will once again allow you to use faded text with your wavs.  :)

    PLEASE NOTE:
      That this is a workaround on our side, not AOL's.  AOL could make changes again at anytime to circumvent and break what we have done to bring this feature back to you.

  • Added - Tray Icon volume control for Jukebox.

  • Added - Ability to turn off chat room Aliases.

  • Added - Ability to toggle HotWords on and off from the HotWords Editor.

  • Added - WavMan 10.x will now associate .FDE files with a "fade scheme installer".  This means if you double-click on an exported Fade Scheme file (.FDE file), it will automatically be installed.

  • Fixed - "Date Created" Fade Scheme tag information was not being saved properly when sending Fade Schemes via E-Mail.

Version 10.0.9

  • Added - Four more color spots to the fader, bringing the total number of possible colors to fade to ten!

  • Fixed - E-Mailing a Wav with no Description Categories selected would produce a runtime error #5 (invalid procedure call).

  • Fixed - The Description Category "Title" was added to the Popup Options window when using the E-Mail a Wav feature.

  • Fixed - Several minor bugs associated with the Jukebox.

  • Fixed - Some people were reporting "IM Initialization" errors when closing AOL with WavMan running.  This should now be resolved.

  • Removed - The option to include the TPA Software URL within faded text was removed.  AOL is on the verge of banning such a feature, so we removed it ahead of time.  :)

  • Modified - The HotWords Editor/feature was redesigned.  You can now have up to 30 different HotWords, each with its own unique wav!  :)

  • Fixed - E-Fade would appear as one long hyperlink to the recipient of the faded E-Mail.

  • Fixed - Auto Answered IMs would not log if the "Show Answered IM" option was set to off.

  • Fixed - Runtime errors numbers 75 (File/Path Access Error) and 63 (Bad Record Number) would occur when attempting to edit a file through the Wav Descriptions Editor who properties are READ-ONLY.

  • Fixed - Typing in a wav manually into the chat room while the fade was active would produce the following text: {S A>

  • Fixed - The "Date Created" section of a newly created Fade tag was not being saved.

  • Fixed - Several compatibility issues for AOL 6.0 including no menu item for WavMan, chat room ignore not working, no E-Fade toolbar for E-Mails/Message Boards, etc...

  • Fixed - Some people were reporting "Could not create database - Database already exists" errors at start up.  This issue should now be resolved.

  • Added - Very limited compatibility for AOL 6.0 Beta.

  • Added - Fade Scheme Tagging.  Save title, author, comment and timestamp information to your Fade Schemes.  Tag information is displayed in enhanced ToolTips when the mouse is passed over the the fade scheme selection window.

  • Added - Editing WAV, MID and MP3 descriptions will now also save the description information directly to the file itself.  This enable others downloaded your wavs to see your descriptions.

  • Added - Jukebox now contains more control features at the tray icon level.

  • Fixed - Additional runtime files added for the MS Jet Database Engine.

  • Fixed - WavMan will "freeze" if attempting to import WavMan 9.x DESC files with numbers over 10 in the filename.

  • Fixed - The WavMan Jukebox will repeat tracks when using the Random Play Mode.

  • Fixed - Images may be seen in the background of the Jukebox window while resizing.

  • Updated - You can now rename wavs directly on the Wav List.  No popup box asking you for a new name.

  • Fixed - The E-Mail a Wav feature, when used with Wav Descriptions will print excess wav descriptions for each file included.

  • Fixed - Using the up and down keys on the Wav List will not change the descriptions shown.

  • Fixed - WavScan will not show the proper wav descriptions if a wav is located using this feature.

  • Fixed - WavScan will not detect MID or MP3 files.

  • Fixed - When turning Wav Descriptions on and off via the Wav List, WavMan will not remember the setting.

  • Fixed - When adding a MID or MP3 as a FavWav, the correct icon will not be displayed until the list is refreshed.  This would also potentially lead to several other Wav List related errors.

  • Fixed - Sending descriptions with a wav to the chat room when no description was listed while using the fader would cause the AOL client to GPF.

  • Fixed - During the registration process, if one entered a previous registration number for the upgrade discount and the screen name was over 10 letters long, the registration number may not have been recognized.
